By Linda B. Grandolfo
I believe in the power of giving at any level.
When I first started as a volunteer more than 18 years ago, my capacity for giving was small, yet consistent. As my financial picture changed and my circle of supporters increased, my ability to support the Arthritis Foundation increased.
In honor of my four years as Chicago leadership board chair, I joined the Be the One campaign. Fortunately, I'm currently able to give a planned gift and support the walks and events. Even though my gifts are not major, they are meaningful and every dollar helps us find a cure.
I'm committed to helping the almost 60 million people—including nearly 300,000 children—suffering from arthritis-related diseases find a better way of life. They include my family and friends. Many people suffer alone and silently. I work together with my fellow supporters for a cure. My hope is that someday, with our support, children and adults can be free of pain and lead a full life.
It is my belief that those of us who are blessed with resources to help others need to provide resources at any level in order to make the lives of others better. Maybe your donation is a smaller amount or made over time, but we can make a difference in order to seek better treatments and find a cure.
Your support is powerful and helps bring us closer to finding a cure for arthritis. Contact the Arthritis Foundation at 866-528-8687 or [email protected] to learn about the many ways you can support our work into the future.
